With a heart for helping others and a deep love for the ocean, I aim to bring my unique perspective to the art world. After more than three decades as a dedicated nurse, I have embarked on a new journey, following a lifelong passion for art and creativity.
This venture began with a moment of nostalgia upon discovering that the historic Middlesex Hospital—where I trained and began my nursing career—had been demolished and transformed into flats. With few photos to remember it by, I turned to painting to keep the memory of this special place alive. My “Middlesex Hospital Nostalgia” series is a true labour of love, with each piece proudly displayed in my own home. The thought that others might also want to display my paintings on their own walls fills me with a renewed sense of excitement for the future, rekindling a spark that had been lost in recent years.
Working primarily in pen and watercolour, I have also captured the beloved King and Queen pub—a gathering spot for Middlesex staff—and the iconic BT Tower, which was seen from many of the rooms of John Astor House. I am also offering custom commissions, creating one-of-a-kind paintings of houses or buildings dear to my clients, each rendered with care and detail in my signature style. In addition, my abstract ocean-themed acrylic series includes unique, made-to-order jellyfish paintings, available in blue or green tones to suit any space.
As this new artistic journey unfolds, my collection is a work in progress, with more paintings to come. My aim is to create art that invites viewers to pause, reflect, and find beauty in the both the man-made and the natural world around us.
